Earthenware manufacturer at the Bradwell Works, Davenport Street, Longport, Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent.
Previously as Arthur Wood - in 1924 his son Gerald Wood joined the business.
In 1928 it was renamed to Arthur Wood & Son (Longport) Ltd.
During the 1930s & 40s the company aquired other pottery manufacturers. Including Collingwood Bros. - they subsequently traded from 1948 as Collingwood China Ltd
In 1955 the Arthur Wood Group listed as a public company and contained...

Kensington Pottery Ltd.
Davenport Pottery Co. Ltd. (a distributor)
Carlton Ware was acquired 1967 after it had gone into liquidation but it was sold in 1987 to County Potteries.
In 2003 Arthur Wood Group PLC went into administration. The name and intellectual property was purchaed by Rayware Ltd.
Since the sale 'Arthur Wood' and 'Price & Kensington' has been retained as Rayware brands.
Previously: Arthur Wood
Subsequently: retained as a brand name of Rayware Ltd.
