dormant business was acquired by Arthur
Wood & Son (Longport) Ltd and from March 1948 it traded as
Collingwood China Ltd.

the early 1950s Arthur Wood sold the business to the Keele
Street Pottery Group.

1951 Pottery Gazette lists the following officers: Managing
Director - Gerald F. Wood; Secretary & Sales Manager - J.
Sedgley; Decorating Manager - L. Owen; Works Director - A.
Hulse.

The
1956 Pottery Gazette records the company as 'a member of the
K.S.P. Group'. Officers were: Chairman - S. R. Hogg; Managing
Director - C. G. Bowers; Directors - R. A. Harding, J. A. Orme, G.
T. Basnett.

Around
1958 the St. George Works were taken by William Henry Amison (a
former employee of Collingwood China) - he established Clayton
Bone China Ltd. It is likely that Collingwood China Ltd.
stopped production at this date.

1962 article refers to Collingwood China as a 'non-manufacturing
